Central Florida Health Care, Inc.
Home

Central Florida Health Care was founded in 1972 in response to critical gaps in health care identified by the agricultural community. A local citrus processing firm recognized the importance of adequate health care, social services and childcare for farmworkers in Polk County. The first clinic opened in Frostproof with a doctor and a nurse and began serving the farm workers in that community.
Over the next decade, we expanded to Wauchula (Hardee County) in 1975 and Avon Park (Highlands County) in 1980. Further growth came as sites were opened in Dundee, Lakeland, Winter Haven, Lake Wales (Dental) and Mulberry. In 2016, we opened Dundee Pediatrics, Lakeland Pediatrics, Magnolia Women and Children’s clinic in Winter Haven and Lake Wales Medical and Dental clinic. And this year we are excited
to announce the opening of our newest center
in Haines City in April 2017.
CFHC provides comprehensive healthcare services to the underserved and vulnerable population in Polk, Highlands and Hardee counties. Our services include primary medical and dental care, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology. In addition, CFHC provides lab and x-ray at all of our locations and pharmacy services at six of our locations.
In 2016, we were able to care for 34,870 members of our local community. We take great pride in following our mission, vision and overarching goal by seeking out those who need our services.
